Bear naked chef cooking up a storm at la Cucina Sabina and in ManAboutWorld gay travel magazineTHE BEAR NAKED CHEF IS BACK!

Adrian De Berardinis, AKA “The Bear Naked Chef,” is a naked bear chef. What he lacks in clothing he more than makes up for with exquisite culinary skills. (Be sure to note though that while he’s cooking, he’s dressed!)

From November 11-17, 2018. our favorite bear is hosting a gay cooking week at a La Cucina Sabina, a luxurious Italian villa, in the tranquil foothills of the Monti Lucretelli mountains, just 30 minutes north of Rome.

Book by September 30, 2018 and receive a special Couple’s Spa Package — a $250 added value.

Chef Art Smith

This all-inclusive vacation trip includes a week at the luxurious villa; four hands-on cooking lessons, including The Bear-Naked Chef in action along with local Italian trained chefs. Adrian is bringing his friend Chef Art Smith to join for the week to add an additional dimension of fun in the kitchen.

Art Smith was previously Oprah’s personal chef and currently works with Lady Gaga, has a chain of successful restaurants, and provides private catering to the Hollywood set and music industry.

It’s much more than cooking; you’ll also experience exclusive guided excursions to medieval villages, vineyards, dinners in castles, a day in Rome and rooftop dinner, which all embraces authentic Italy, and so much more.

This post is brought to you via our partner, La Cucina Sabina.

By the time I had touched down in Milan for 2015 Expo, it had already been wowing travelers for more than three months. The expo — the quinquennial event, previously in China, and scheduled to be in Dubai come 2020 – was themed this year around food sustainability, with 140 participating countries.

Each country’s pavilion took around two years to complete, and each one is a marvel of art and culture, capturing the essence of the country, its innovation, its farming, and its vision toward the future.

Una bella strada di Bologna in Italia

ManAboutWorld’s associate editor Kenny Porpora is visiting the Emilia-Romagna region in northern Italy. Among the cities he’s visiting are Bologna and Parma. So, you can probably guess Emilia-Romagna is noted for its food products! It’s also gorgeous as you can see in the photo he sent us today. To follow more of his adventures check back here or visit our Facebook page.

Kenny will report on his findings in an upcoming issue (stay tuned) but our friends at Purple Roofs list a few gay marketed properties in the region.

beautiful Capri island, ItalyThis column is brought to you by Ashton Giese, ManAboutWorld correspondent and editor of the GAYography newsbrief.

Crazy news from Lithuania where the military is alleged to be (gay) testing conscripts by asking if they “like picking flowers” or “worked in the floral industry” to determine grounds for military dismissal! Gorgeous Puglia village under blue skies.

Puglia lies in the most southeastern part of the Italian peninsula — the heel of the “boot,” wedged between the Adriatic and Ionian spurs of the Mediterranean. The result is miles of mostly rocky coastline on the east along the Adriatic, and mostly sandy beaches on the west along the Ionian Sea, with flat, fertile land in- between. The greatest testament to the region’s gay friendliness is the fact that it has an openly gay governor, re-elected twice. Outright gay exuberance centers on the coastal town of Gallipoli — affectionately dubbed “Gayllipoli” — which has become the summer destination for gays from all over Italy.

By @ 09/12/14 in Gay travel, Louis Boshoff, ManAboutWorld, Travel

veniceOur correspondent Louis Boshoff got lost in Venice. He highly recommends it.

Getting lost in Venice is not only an inevitability, it is obligatory. With it’s many small alleys and and twisting canals, it is easy to see why one can spend hours finding your hotel, restaurant or even your way back. Urban travelling in this city falls strictly into two categories: cheap and expensive, nothing in-between. The public Vaporetto and on foot is probably the most cost effective but for that bond like classy commuting experience you may like to put yourself out for a worthwhile bit more. In this famously time-warped city the Consorzio Motoscafi Venezia has now embraced the modern age and offer 24-hour and online booking service for transfers or excursions with the all the elegant luxury in which one would expect to be dropped off at your palazzo on the Grand Canal. The only downside to this celebrity style transport? Not getting lost of course…
