Darron Copeland

Darron Copeland and Martin Phillips have been traveling the world for almost twenty years. Darron, originally from New Jersey and Martin born in South Wales were married in October 2009, a year after same-sex marriage became legal in the State of Connecticut, where they live.

Between them, they have been to fifty-five countries across all continents, except for Antarctica. For each of the last eight years, their attendance at the Eurovision Song Contest (“Eurovision”), a major musical event televised live to about 120 million across Europe, has resulted in a travel holiday to a destination they had never been to. Eurovision annually draws  a huge number of gays (and a few lesbians) from destinations all across the world to whichever country and city hosts the event and has become a gay mecca for two weeks every May  Eurovision took the duo to Malmo, Sweden in 2013 and in May 2014 Darron and Martin will return to Scandinavia when Eurovision is held in Copenhagen, Denmark.  As a result, Darron and Martin have gained an extensive knowledge in European Schlager music (aka  European “Pop” music).
