Brian is a traveler, writer, destination marketer but mostly a lover of food history. He loves discovering and traveling to the origin of dishes as it gives an interesting world perspective. He discovered that every Latin American country has a form of carne asada, varying only by a few ingredients. Mexico isn’t the only place serving “roasted beef.”

Country Captain a well-known southern curried tomato dish is a holdover from the 18th century when the slave and spice trade once proliferated  throughout North and South Carolina. Who knew you were eating global food when eating at a local restaurant?
