Life-Changing Pizza Delivered By Our Man In London

Our London-based correspondent, Ben Rossignol, reports on a life-changing pizza he recently encoutered. With ManAboutWorld‘s upcoming London coverage, scheduled for 2013, you’ll want to take note of this for your next visit.

Story Deli is gay friendly though not particularly gay diet friendly, but I had the most life changing pizza last night. They’re not very inexpensive either at 16 pounds but it’s probably the best Ive had in years. Also there are only two long communal tables and only pizzas and wine on the menu all at the same price. The check comes on a piece of brown cardboard. No reservations are taken and it’s cash only.

It’s a total hipster joint, in Shoreditch close to a bunch of gay bars like the Joiner Arms, George and Dragon, and also next to Shoreditch House (Soho House group) which is plenty gay. It is also a good location for before or after a movie at the Aubin Cinema down the street — a small intimate ‘luxury’ cinema in a discreet basement with lavish leather couches, blankets and drink service (and current movies). It’s the ultimate third date spot.
